Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko to make a request to the European Union to make an examination of gas contracts, concluded between the Naftogaz NJSC and the Gazprom Public Corporation. She claimed at a briefing today.

“I want to disprove once and for all accusations coming from the corruption participants in gas market that something was wrongly signed for Ukraine. With this purpose, so that every person makes sure of it, I address the European Union with an official letter tomorrow, to make the official examination of the signed contracts and, I am confident, their conclusions will clearly evidence what I am telling about,” Yulia Tymoshenko claimed.

At the same time the Prime Minister stated that despite great counteraction, the Government would uphold its positions on gas issue: “no matter how difficult it may be, I will keep with this way of struggle against this unprecedented corruption which, unfortunately, continues to develop, including, unfortunately, under the NDSC roof”.
