Ukraine has offered the Latvian Republic export of electricity. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, speaking to students at the University of Latvia.
"We have offered the Government of Latvia export of Ukrainian electricity, we offered them that we could have to supply about 500 MW," said Prime Minister of Ukraine.
At this he stressed that this power amounts about half the power of one Ukrainian power unit.
Moreover, Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine is ready to export electricity to other European countries too.
