Tymoshenko: The Government will not afford the default of Naftogaz of Ukraine

The Gov’t is to restructure the debt of Naftogaz of Ukraine company and will not afford the default of the company. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on air of Ukrayina TV channel.

“As Prime Minister I am dealing with restructuring of this debt now so that to save both the Naftogaz of Ukraine company and Ukraine, and I can assure you we will never afford any default, we will restructure this debt and demonstrate how to manage right, however the country will not take such debts any more,” the Prime Minister urged.

At the same time, Yulia Tymoshenko underlined that the Government had to pay for the loans of the Naftogaz of Ukraine taken in the times of previous government when financial and economic situation within the state had been calm and today we had to give these debts under the crisis conditions.

“In the capacity of the power, the Government we have to settle these debts and we have agreed with all the companies to pay off the debt step by step, according to a schedule,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
