Yet this month Ukraine will start shipment of electrical energy to Belarus. The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Turchynov stressed at a briefing following a sitting of Ukraine-Belarus intergovernmental mixed commission for trade and economic cooperation.
Olexandr Turchynov underlined a contract on shipment by Ukraine electric power to Belarus, signed on May 12 in Minsk, had been ratified by the Government of Ukraine. “I am convinced yet this month the process of supplies will start,” he emphasized.
In his turn, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Volodymyr Semashko noted under the contract by the end of 2009 Ukraine has to ensure shipment of 750 million kWt of electric power to Belarus. He also added the price for electric power proves eligible for Ukraine and Belarus alike.Source:Government portal
