By the date
of December 5, 2008 the state enterprises of the
Ministry of Coal Industry of Ukraine have extracted 42.2 million tons of solid
fuel. The same amount of it had been mined for the whole 2007.
Holding
today in Donetsk a meeting into presentation of an anti-crisis program of the
development of the Ministry of Coal Industry the Minister Viktor Poltavets announced that the fact of overcoming the line of
the last year 26 days before the end of year proves that the branch could have
managed to establish order in the branch at last, to trigger a number of
internal reserves of the production. So, by the beginning of January
1, 2008 the
branch possessed 72 mines, each working in minimal regime and extracting
100-200 tons of coal per day. A concrete task had been set:
every mine should extract not less than 500 tons of coal per day. In the course of realization of the program over 50 mines have
reached the fixed line.
Nowadays in the state
sector of the domain 17 mines
have achieved the line of
1 million tons of coal, while a team of Serhii Chernenko
from the Red partisan mine of the state enterprise SverdlovAntracite
have overcome this line. Daily bringing to grass 3040 tons of coal they plan to
extract around 90 thousand tons of “black gold”.
“The miners
of the Ministry of Coal Industry, despite the complicated financial economic
situation in which the Gov’t of Ukraine assist us, do not cease increase the
amounts of coal extraction. We have set an objective, by the end of year to
reach a line of 46 million tons. We will prove with this that the state can be
an effective contriver of coal mines”.
