Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC has completely paid off to Gazprom company for the gas consumed in the first quarter of 2009. First Deputy Head of Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine Ihor Didenko announced during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“The first quarter showings of the Naftogaz were fulfilled according to the planned results of realization of gas of both domestic and import consumption. Full amount of gas has been paid,” he stressed.

Ihor Didenko emphasized in the first quarter Ukraine has consumed over 2.5 bn cu m of imported gas. The sum for March, paid yesterday, was USD 342 million 720 thousand.

According to the First Deputy Head of Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine, pursuant to the clinched with Gazprom contracts, the Ukrainian party fulfills payment on the grounds of the signed accounts for the consumed amount of gas: in January, February and March the Naftogaz was paying the sums fixed in the account form by the Gazprom. 

Besides, I.Didenko disclosed now the parties are coordinating the prices for the Russian gas for the second quarter of 2009. “There is our calculation of the price for the second quarter and calculations of such a price of respective departments of Gazprom. Variation in prices equals 30-40 cents while the price ranges between USD 270-271 per thousand of cubic meters of gas”.
